Ramakrishna Math, Mekhliganj, arranged a Youth Convention on 3 September 2017. The SDO of Mekhliganj, Shri Apratim Ghosh was the Chief Guest. The programme started with Vedic Chanting, Reading from the Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda, and Bhajan. Swami Vijneyananda gave the Welcome Address. Swami Nityasatyananda and Swami Nihitananda addressed the youth on Swami Vivekananda’s Ideas of Great India, and of Sister Nivedita’s contribution to India. This is first time in Mekhliganj that a Youth Convention was arranged. 120 youth participated in the convention, and showed eager interest to have more such Conventions, which has inspired them to be a better human being, and to realize the goal of a developed India.
