THE RAMAKRISHNA ASHRAM, GWALIOR, SERVE THE NATION THROUGH FOLLOWING UNITS :

 

 

Ramakrishna Vidya Mandir M.P. Board School is affiliated to Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Bhopal. On the occasion of Gandhi Centenary Celebration a Nursery school for   under privileged & First –Generation School-Goers was started under supervision of Sh. Shubhas  Kamthan School got affiliation from DEO . Mrs Vinfred Rane W/O Mr.K.S. Rane then  Principal of MITS became the first Principal of the  Ramkrishna  Shishu Mandir & some devotees helped in teaching. Foundation stone for School building was laid by Swamy Vandananandaji   Maharaj. On the occasion of Basant Panchami, Mr. Baburam Chaturvedi, Inaugurated the School Building .The school was then shifted to its new building  and renamed as Ramakrishna Vidya Mandir.  On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, Inter School sports competition was held. The school got affiliation for High School from Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. On 26 October 1987, Army wing of NCC started with 50 cadets. On 12 August 1989  foundation stone for separate Science Laboratory building was laid by Pandit Ramkinkar Upadhyay. On 10 October 1989  Naval wing of NCC started with 50 cadets. In 1989, a unit of NSS started with 100 students. On 21 Decmber 1990  Rajmata Vijaya Raje Sindhiya had inaugurated the Science Building. On 14 November 1991 Air wing of NCC started with 50 cadets. In 1987-1996  the student strength was more than 2300.   In 1995 computer education was introduced. In July 1995, Mr Tipnis Rtd. Principal of MITS became the Principal of RKVM CBSE. A Branch of RKVM, MPBSE was started in Sharada Balgram ( LKG to Calss VIII) in 2003. Further it got separate affiliation & named as Sharada Ramkrishna Vidya Mandir. In March 2011, RKVM MPBSE shifted from Ramkrishna Puri to Sharada Balgram because there was no Higher Secondary  school for MPBSE in the area and SRKVM merged in RKVM.

 

Ramakrishna Vidya Mandir CBSE School is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education New Delhi. Since last 25 years Ramakrishna Vidya Mandir school is serving the nation by imparting quality education.  As on today total 1060 boys and girls study in the school. Around 32 students received 100% fee exemption and 220 students received partial fee exemption. There are around 45 teachers.

 

Roshani Ramakrishna Ashram, Gwalior a school for specially abled children. ROSHNI, founded in 1998 at the Ramakrishna Ashrama, Gwalior, strives to fulfill the rehabilitation needs of children with cerebral palsy, mental retardation, autism and other neurological impairments in and around Gwalior. Since its inception, ROSHNI has made every effort to reach out to the local community and the surrounding districts at every possible level and has been providing a wide range of services for all age groups.

Sharada Nad Mandir Naad Mandir, a Musical College affiliated to Raja Maan Singh Tomar, Music University.

 

Sharada Bal Gram, Ramakrishna Ashram Gwalior, an orphanage for poor children. We run it on our own. No government grants are accepted. The second campus, started in 1990, the Sharada Bal Gram, Ramakrishna Ashram, covering an area of around 50 acres, is located on Sachin Tendulkar Marg, Gwalior. Here more than 150 orphan students (around 100 boys and 50 girls) are provided free lodging, boarding, health care facilities. The children are either orphans, single parent or from divided family. Their education is taken care of by a School, which is affiliated to the Madhya Pradesh Board of Education. The children here are not only from Madhya Pradesh but also from the other states like Rajastan, Panjab, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar.

Agricultural Unit provides fresh organic vegetables to the resident students of Sharada Bal Gram.

Library and Free Reading Room, Vivekananda Vaachanaalaya : Since the inception of the Ashrama one Library and a Free Reading Room was built. At present one separate building has been constructed for the same. There are 9000 books in Hindi, Bengali, Marathi and Urdu. In addition, facilities have been provided with 10 daily newspaper and 20 periodicals. Average 150 persons are being benefited daily.

 

Health coverage free of charge is extended to the poor people. Homeopathic treatment unit was inaugurated on 22nd January 1966. Ramakrishna Ashrama has also started a polyclinic providing facilities for Ayurvedic & Allopathic medical services.
