Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama (Divyayan), Morabadi, Ranchi organized a conference of the executives of 120 village level organisations (Vivekananda Seva Sanghs) to celebrate World Soil Day on 5 December 2017.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Sri Raghubar Das, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Smt. Rajabala Verma, I.A.S., Chief Secretary Govt. of Jharkhand and Smt Pooja Singhal, Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Co-operatives, Govt. of Jharkhand were guest of honour of the occasion. They all visited all units of Divyayan, Ashrama and the University.
The programme was attended by 266 participants including the guests. While addressing the gathering hon’ble chief minister praised the excellent work of our Morabadi Ashrama and its village level organisations. Goverment wants to make these villages 100% free from poverty, illiteracy, unemployment with the help of these Vivekananda Seva Sanghs and to make these as model for Jharkhand. He also interacted with the executives of Vivekananda Seva Sanghs and urged them to make separate plans for development of their village and assured them Govt. is with them and will take every necessary step to eradicate poverty and make the Jharkhand free of BPL family by 2022.
Contribution of Sister NIvedita for empowerment of women and regeneration of mother India was also discussed.
He stressed on the use of Soil Health Card by the farmers to keep the soil healthy and to increase the productivity. He also distributed Soil Health Card to farmers. Around 500 Soil Health cards were distributed to the farmers.
A Kisan Gosthi and video show was also conducted on soil health and use of soil health card and sound clips of Mann Ki Baat of Hon’ble Prime Minister on soil health was also played for the farmers.
Hon’ble Chief Minister also inaugurated the Water Harvesting Model in Divyayan Krishi Vijnan Kendra campus.
