Smarane Nivedita [Remembering Nivedita] : The inaugural programme of the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Sister Nivedita organized by Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, was held at Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, Kolkata, on 28 October 2017.

The programme was inaugurated by Revered Swami Vagishanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. Dr. Partha Chatterjee, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge of Higher Education and School Education Department, Government of West Bengal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Swami Suvirananda, General Secretary, delivered the Welcome Address. Swami Balabhadrananda, Assistant General Secretary, gave an introduction of this three-day Inaugural Programme.

On this occasion, Veda Granthamala (samagra veda) was released by Revered Vagishanandaji, which is published by Ramakrishna Mission Institute Of Culture, Gol Park.

The next two days of the inaugural programme (Manane Nivedita / Contemplating Nivedita) will be held at Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Gol Park, on 30 and 31 October, 2017 from evening 5 pm.
