Vivekananda Veda Vidyalaya Foundation Day Celebration 2016

Ramakrishna Math Vivekananda Veda Vidyalaya, Belur Math, celebrated the Foundation Day and Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony on 16 August 2016. Swami Suhitanandaji, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, presided over the function and gave away prizes. Swami Suviranandaji, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, delivered the Welcome Address, where he narrated Swami Vivekananda’s idea and plan for a school for studying Veda and Sanskrit, and how the students of the Veda Vidyalaya making good progress in their study, and performing remarkably in different competitions and examinations all over India, and also getting established in their life. Swami Vedatattwanandaji, Principal, Vivekananda Veda Vidyalaya, Belur Math read out the Annual Report of the Veda Vidyalaya, and achievements of the students. Swami Suhitanandaji, in his speech, pointed out the influence of Sanskrit in our Culture, and how it helps in developing national integration and identity. Afterwards, the students performed a wonderful Sanskrit drama “Sri Ramakrishna’s Restlessness for Divine Mother’s Vision.”
