In response to a request from Thambi Thottam Hr. Sec School, situated approximately 60 km away in Dindigul district, Ramakrishna Math Madurai organized a transformative 12-Day Values Education Camp, from February 12th to February 24th, 2024. This initiative aimed to equip students from remote villages with essential moral values and life skills.
Reaching Out and Shaping Minds:

562 students from various levels participated in the program, categorized into four groups:
- Level 1 (Std I & II): 94 students
- Level 2 (Std III to V): 148 students
- Level 3 (Std VI & VII): 113 students
- Level 4 (Std VII & IX): 207 students

Engaging Activities and Inspiring Talks: The camp incorporated a diverse range of activities like:
- Bhajans (devotional songs) to nurture spiritual connection.
- Moral stories to instill valuable life lessons.
- Interactive sessions and plays to enhance understanding and participation.

Swami Arkaprabhananda’s insightful talk on the first day emphasized the importance of moral values in shaping lives.

Trained teachers from Ramakrishna Math Sarada Vidyalaya conducted engaging classes throughout the camp.
Witnessing Positive Change:
The camp’s impact was evident in the noticeable positive changes observed in the students’ behavior. They embraced good habits like:
- Applying Tilak (religious mark)
- Practicing daily prayers
- Demonstrating punctuality
- Showing respect to elders
- Offering help to others
