Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar, organised a public meeting to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission on November 19, 2023. Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission was the Chief Guest for the function. Swami Achyuteshanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, Arunachal Pradesh and Major General (Retired) Jarken Gamlin, an Alumnus of Ramakrishna Mission, Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh, were also present as the Guests of Honour.
The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the guests. Opening song was presented by the Students of Nursing School followed by felicitation of guests by presenting mementos.
Dr. Lobsag Tsetim, MS, Ophthalmology, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar delivered the welcome speech.
Swami Achyuteshanadaji Maharaj spoke on the Mission’s service activities followed by the speech of Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) Jarken Gamlin.
Traditional dance was presented by the nursing and hospital staff.
Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj spoke on the multifarious activities and Ramakrishna Mission particularly in North East India.
Swami Vedasarananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar expressed words of gratitude to all present.
The programme ended with the National Anthem. The whole program was compered by Dr. Tunu Gadi, MD, Pediatrician, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar. The Doctors, Hospital staff members and around 275 devotees attended the programme and all were served prasad (dinner) after the program.
