125 Years of Ramakrishna Mission: Celebration at Chicago


The Vivekananda Vedanta Society of Chicago has celebrated the 125-years of the Ramakrishna Mission in a befitting manner. The celebration took place at the Homer Glen Ashrama on May 22, 2022.

At 11 am the Head Swamis of different Vedanta Societies started to deliver their views on the creation, development, changes, challenges and the unchanging ideal of the Ramakrishna Order. When the discourse session was over the history of the Order was presented before the audience. Swamis Sarvadevananda (Hollywood), Kripamayananda (Toronto), Prapannananda (Sacramento), Yogatmananda (Providence), Tattwamayananda (San Francisco), Chandrashekharananda (Portland), Prasannatmananda (Berkeley), Sarvapriyananda (New York) participated in the discussion. Swami Varadananda welcomed all and he also performed as the emcee. Swami Ishatmananda, Minister-in-Charge, Vedanta Society, Chicago, made the concluding remarks.

Nearly 200 devotees attended the program in person and about 4000 viewed online.
