Commemoration of 150 Birth Anniversary Celebration of Sister Nivedita was celebrated in a befitting manner at the Community Hall of Ramakrishna Math, Naora on 28 April, 2017. A day long programme was organized with the theme “Sister Nivedita & Women Empowerment” with the collaboration of Ramakrishna Math, Naora & Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL). About 500 Students and 200 others (staff, devotees, villagers & monastic members) were present, especially with the following dignitaries.
- Rajesh Prasad, Executive Director, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, Kolkata, was the chief Guest.
- Tikak Chandra Mukherjee, Dy. General Manger, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, Kolkata, Special Guest.
- Swami Chidrupananda Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Naora, Convener.
- Bablu Chattapadhyya, Dy. Manager Finance, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. Kolkata, Special Guest.
- Shaktiprasad Mishra, Resource Person (Ex-teacher, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia).
The students of RVNL project performed their various activities including speeches, songs & dramas. They all impressed the audience with their speeches on Sister Nivedita. All were served with tiffin and lunch.
