A Short Report on the 18th Annual Convocation Ceremony of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute
The eighteenth anniversary of the foundation day celebration and eighteenth annual convocation ceremony of the Belur and Narendrapur campuses of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute was held in physical (offline) mode, on 4 July 2023 (Tuesday) at 4.00 PM at Vivekananda Sabhagriha in the University’s Belur
Main Campus.
Revered Swami Bhajananandaji Maharaj, Vice President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, delivered the address of benediction. Swami Suviranandaji, Chancellor of the University and General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, presided over the ceremony and delivered the Chancellor’s Address. Professor V. Kamakoti, Director of Indian Institute of Technology Madras was the Guest-in-Chief and delivered the Convocation Address.
Swami Atmapriyanandaji, Pro-Chancellor of the University administered the oath (pledge) to the graduands and Swami Sarvottamananda, Vice-Chancellor of the University admitted the graduands to their respective degrees.
A total of 264 candidates received degrees, diplomas, and certificates, including 83 females. The breakdown of qualifications is as follows: 9 Ph.D., 8 M.Phil., 225 M.Sc./Int M.A., 2 B.A., 19 Post-Graduate-Diploma, and 1 certificate. Acknowledging the academic excellence, gold medals were awarded to the 13 first-rank holders of Masters’ programmes and 2 first-rank holders of Bachelors’ programmes.
