94th Foundation Day and Capping Ceremony: Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata, July 2025

Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata


The 94th Foundation Day of Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan, along with the 68th Capping Ceremony of the School of Nursing and the 21st Capping Ceremony of Ma Sarada College of Nursing, was held on 24 July 2025 (Thursday) at 12 noon at the Dayananda Hall of the Pratishthan.

The programme was graced by Swami Atmapriyananda ji, Pro-Chancellor and Head of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, who was the Chief Guest.
Smt. Bandana Das, Deputy Assistant Director of Health Services (Nsg.), Government of West Bengal, was the Guest of Honour.
Justice Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya (Retd.), Member of the Managing Committee of the Pratishthan, presided over the function.

Among other dignitaries present on the dais were Prof. Atul Kumar Gupta, Principal of Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences; Prof. Sanjay Mohan Bhattacharjee, Medical Superintendent cum Vice Principal; and Prof. Pranab Kumar Das, Ex-Principal and Consultant, Department of General Medicine.

As part of the celebrations, the Annual Prize Distribution ceremony of both the School of Nursing and Ma Sarada College of Nursing was held.

The Capping Ceremony was solemnly observed, during which 37 G.N.M. students and 37 B.Sc. Nursing students received their nursing caps and took vows of lifelong dedicated service to the sick and suffering.

The event was attended by nearly 350 participants, including monks of the Pratishthan, members of the Managing Committee, distinguished guests, doctors, nurses, students, and staff members. Prasadam was distributed to all attendees at the conclusion of the function.
