Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and spiritual education (RIMSE) Mysuru, a unit of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru organized one-day and residential workshops on Value Education and Personality development for school and college students, professionals, and devotees. In the month of April and May RIMSE conducted 8 one-day retreats and residential retreats for 16 days reaching 200 male students, 230 lady students, 81 school/college teachers, 241 lady devotees, 48 lady officers and 80 gents officers from Karnataka Milk Federation, Mandya, and a 2-day Family Samskar retreat for 39 parents and children from Bengaluru.
The topics covered included: methods of effective learning, effective teaching, preparation for examination, thought management, putting values into practice, developing leadership qualities, learning life skills from Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, yoga and meditation.
All the participants were given a copy of either Personality Development (a collections of Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts on this topic), or Call to the Nation, or Spoorthi (life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda).
The resource persons included Swami Muktidanandaji, Swami Mahamedhanandaji, Swami Yukteshanandaji, Swami Ishtanathanandaji, Dr. K Anantharamu, Sri M S Raghu, Smt. Chandrika Raghu, Sri Pradyumna K P, Sri D T Ramanujam, Dr. K Raghavendra Pai and Sri D Parashivamurthy.
