Ramakrishna Mission, Hatamuniguda, organised a 2-day Residential Youth Camp – Realising Your Potential, in commemoration of the 125th Anniversary Ramakrishna Mission, on 24 and 25 June 2023. Swami Vedatitananda, Ramakrishna Mission Shilpamandira, Belur Math, inaugurated the camp by offering flowers to Swamiji and lighting the ceremonial lamp amidst Vedic Chanting by the delegates. Swami Gitatmananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Hatamuniguda, welcomed the delegates and introduced the subject – Realising Your Potential.
The two-day programme comprised of Yogasana, Gita Chanting, Guided Meditation, Singing of Devotional Songs, Readings from Swami Vivekananda’s Works and Speeches by delegates on various subjects, viz., Character Building and Man Making, Importance of Service, Tyaga & Seva, Message of the Upanishads, Drugs Menace, How to face real life situation etc.
Swami Vedatitananda spoke on Tyaga and Seva, Character Building and Man Making, and the Importance of Habit and Silence. A documentary on Ramakrishna Mission – “Prasphutita Shatadala” in Odiya was screened. The participants presented Yoga Dance, Calisthenics and Pyramid Show.
109 youths from 31 educational institutions of 8 districts of Odisha participated. All the participants were awarded certificates of participation, a specially designed memento with a photo and message of Swami Vivekananda and a set of 5 books (Juganayaka Vivekananda – a 3- volume exhaustive life of Swami Vivekananda in Odia, Friend of All & Chicago Addresses). Swami Prabhuvarananda conducted the camp.
