On 10 September 2023 the Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa, Phoenix centre’s medical wing, viz., the Ramakrishna Clinic of South Africa – Phoenix, conducted a specialist Medical Camp from 5:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Tongaat, Durban.
There were 72 professional medical staff and 90 support staff in attendance.
Services in various disciplines such as paediatrics, psychiatry, gynaecology, urology, rheumatology, ENT, ophthalmology, dentistry, audiology, physiotherapy, podiatry, etc. were available to poor patients.
All the services and medication were provided free of charge. Patients included children, the frail aged, terminally-ill, mentally and physically challenged. A total of 2276 consultations were conducted.
