Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Porbandar, celebrated the National Youth day on 12 January 2024. The statue of Swamiji on the ashrama premises was garlanded by the ashrama inmates.
Earlier different competitions like elocution, speech, essay, Vichar prachar pariksha on Swami Vivekananda’s life & teachings were held in the ashrama, where 385 school students participated. The prize distribution ceremony was held on that day.
Miss Rekhaba Sarvaiya, Additional Collector(DRDA), Porbandar, was the President of the programme. Shri Sumit Kumar Chachan, Chief Manager SBI,Manek Chowk Branch Porbandar was the Chief Guest.
Total 97 students received prizes.
