Ramakrishna Math, Barasat organized a day-long Youth Convention on 14 January, Sunday 2024 at Barasat Rabindra Bhavan, near our Math premises. The details of the programme are furnished below;
970 Youth delegates of higher secondary Schools, Colleges and University students along with 80 teachers, professors, tutors and volunteers total 1050 persons participated in the Convention. Swami Balabhadranandaji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math presided over the function. Swami Vedatitananda, Ramakrishna Mission Shilpamandira, Saradapitha, Belur Math and Swami Vedanishthananda, Spiritual Director (Designate),Vedanta Society of Geneva, Switzerland delivered talks on different subjects related to Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings.
6 Youth delegates gave speeches (2 in Bengali, 2 in English, 1 in Hindi and 1 in Sanskrit) on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings.
The programme included Swadesh Mantra Path, recitations and songs on Swamiji.
There was an interactive session for question answers and a cultural programme by the selected participants. All the participants were given Books on Swami Vivekananda and beautiful mementos of Swamiji were given to the guests and selected participants.
Breakfast and complete lunch packets were served amongst all the participants. Some relevant photographs of the aforesaid programme are attached herewith.
