Values-Oriented Programme for Students : Thanjavur, February 2024

On 22 February 2024, the students of ‘The Little Scholars Higher Secondary School’, Thanjavur happily learnt the ethical values of lifestyle. These children were educated to work and lead a goal-oriented life according to Swami Vivekananda’s ideas. Naturopathy Physician Sri. Siddhar and Swami Vimurtananda conducted the programme. All were given Flashes of Swami Vivekananda books.

The children realised the importance of physical labour. They enjoyed being part of Nature in the surroundings of Sarada Vanam in the Village Centre of Thanjavur ashrama.

Over 2,350 students from ten Tiruppur schools, gearing up for their crucial 12th and 10th board exams, received an inspiring boost during a special programme held on February 19th and 20th, 2024 by Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur. Drawing inspiration from the timeless wisdom of Swami Vivekananda, the programme aimed to go beyond mere academic preparation and delve deeper into character building and values development.

As the Board examination is nearing fast, most of the students who study classes 10 and 12 are under some kind of stress and mental pressure. Some schools approached Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, to help them out. The ashrama took the opportunity to give self-confidence to 1700 students of five schools in Madurai on 15 and 16 February 2024

  1. Melur Sundaresa Vidyalaya Matric Higher Secondary School – 300 students
  2. Simmakkal Sarada Girls Matric Higher Secondary School – 300 students

  4. Madurai College High School visited by Swami Vivekananda in 1897 – 700 students

Swami Vimurtananda interacted with the students and motivated them about the examination in the light of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. The ashrama distributed Vivekananda’s books to all the 1700 students.

On February 6th, 2024, the village centre of Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, hosted a captivating “Values-Oriented Programme for Students” under the Sri Sarada Cultural Training banner. Children from the Little Scholar School participated with enthusiasm.

The program commenced with a session on sharpening focus and cultivating intelligent minds.
