Dol Purnima and Gour Purnima celebration : Nabadwip, March 2024

The Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip, commemorated the auspicious occasion of Sriman Mahaprabhu’s Holy Birth Tithi (birth anniversary) coinciding with Dol Purnima (festival of colours) on March 25th, 2024.

The day commenced with special pujas (worship rituals) offered to Sri Sri Thakur (Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu) accompanied by melodious devotional songs.

Over 3,000 pilgrims visiting the holy town were offered refreshing water and coconut water, demonstrating the spirit of hospitality.

Kumari Radharani Sau, a talented student from the Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa, along with her family, presented a captivating Mahaprabhu Lila Kirtan (devotional songs based on Lord Chaitanya’s life).

Many devotees received prasad during the lunchtime distribution.

In the afternoon, a grand procession weaved its way from the Ashrama campus, culminating at the holy temple marking Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s birthplace.

Monks and devotees enthusiastically participated in the procession, chanting hymns and performing sankirtan (congregational chanting), creating a vibrant spiritual atmosphere.

Following the evening prayer, Sri Tuhit Chakraborty, a teacher from Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur, further enriched the program with his devotional songs.

This event at the Ramakrishna Mission Nabadwip left a positive and lasting impact on the local community, fostering a sense of devotion and spiritual joy.
