Ramakrishna Math, Nattarampalli, successfully organized its 8th Free Eye Camp on 21st April 2024. This commendable initiative continues to provide vital eye care services to the community, making a significant difference in the lives of many.
- Reaching Out to the Needy: A total of 266 patients were screened during the camp, ensuring access to quality eye care for those who might not otherwise be able to afford it.
- Cataract Treatment: 79 patients received diagnoses for cataracts, a leading cause of vision loss. Notably, 62 patients successfully underwent cataract surgery, regaining their precious gift of sight.
- Addressing Refractive Errors: Additionally, 53 individuals were identified with refractive errors, a common vision problem. Of these, 40 patients received or ordered corrective eyeglasses, allowing them to see clearly again.
- Specialized Care: The camp also identified 23 patients requiring further specialized care, ensuring they receive appropriate treatment pathways.
- Total Sight Restoration: In total, the camp directly restored or improved the vision of a remarkable 125 patients. This impactful number underscores the significant contribution of this free eye camp to the community’s well-being.
