Consecration of New Sri Sri Thakur Vigraha
Ramakrishna Mission, Srinagar celebrated the consecration of a new marble statue (Vigraha) of Sri Sri Thakur. The ceremony, held on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, 10 May 2024. Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, the President of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, presided over the ceremony, which was witnessed by around 50 monks and brahmacharins, and 100 devotees.
Three Days of Festivities
To commemorate this joyous event, the Srinagar Ashrama hosted a three-day program from May 9th to 11th, 2024. The program featured a variety of cultural events, a public meeting attended by a distinguished guest, Hon. Sri Justice N Kotiswar Singh, the Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court. Participants also embarked on a short pilgrimage to local religious sites. Over the three days, more than 500 devotees participated in the event.
