Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Asansol, held their “Swami Vivekananda Scholarship – 2024” program on May 18th, 2024. This year marks the ninth consecutive year the Ashrama has conducted this program.
The program financially assisted 100 students from 25 schools across Paschim Bardhaman District who excelled in their Secondary Board exams. Each student received a scholarship of Rs. 3,000, a school bag, four notebooks, and a Certificate of Achievement.
The program was made possible with the support of SAIL-ISP, Burnpur, and other well-wishers. Dignitaries present at the event included Swami Shukadevananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Saradapitha, Belur; Sri Tapas Banerjee, Chairman of ADDA & M.L.A. (Raniganj); Mr. Umendrapal Singh, ED (P&A) of SAIL-ISP, Burnpur; and Mr. Binod Kumar, CGM of SAIL-ISP, Burnpur. The event was also attended by the recipient students, their teachers, and a few guardians.
