On June 8th, 2024, the Sri Ramakrishna Advaita Ashramam, Kalady held a captivating spiritual retreat. The event delved into enlightening topics like “Sri Ramakrishna Vachanamritam,” the Arati song dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna, and the Bhagavad Gita.
Unveiling Wisdom:
The retreat began with Swami Akshayananda reading excerpts from “Sri Ramakrishna Vachanamritam,” illuminating the profound wisdom and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna.
Illuminating the Arati:
Swami Kritajnananda followed with an insightful explanation of the spiritual knowledge embedded within the Arati song of Sri Ramakrishna. He unveiled its deeper meanings and significance.
Harmony between Gita and Vachanamritam:
Swami Nandatmananda addressed the devotees, emphasizing the importance of daily readings from both the Bhagavad Gita and “Sri Ramakrishna Vachanamritam” for gaining spiritual insight and leading a peaceful and purposeful life. He highlighted the immense joy and bliss one can experience through daily readings of “Sri Ramakrishna Vachanamritam.” He encouraged the devotees to seek everlasting happiness within themselves rather than pursuing the fleeting pleasures of the external world.
Swami Nandatmananda further drew parallels between the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and “Sri Ramakrishna Vachanamritam.” He pointed out the presence of the Vedantic truth “Sivajnane Jiva Seva” (Service to Humanity is Service to God) in the Gita.
