An underground car parking facility, built under the ‘Prasad’ scheme, was inaugurated August 2, 2024, by Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.
The event was graced by the presence of the Regional Director (East), India Tourism Kolkata, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India; the Managing Director, West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited, Government of West Bengal; and Swami Suvirananda ji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.
The inauguration coincided with the holy birth anniversary of Srimat Swami Ramakrishnanandaji Maharaj.
