Flood Relief: Dhaleswar, Agartala, August 2024

Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaleswar, Agartala, Tripura (West)


Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaleswar, carried out flood relief efforts in Pratapgarh and Joynagar on August 23rd and 24th, 2024. In the presence of AMC Mayor Dipak Majumdar, the Mission distributed cooked khichuri to 1,750 affected individuals at two relief camps: Pratapgarh High School and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar High School.

On August 25th, 2024, the Ramakrishna Mission in Dhaleswar, Agartala, conducted a medical relief camp at Rajnagar High School in Jainagar. 200 people benefited from this camp.

On August 29th, 2024, the Mission distributed ration kits to 550 families in Jharjhariya, Amarpur, an area severely affected by the floods. Each kit contained 1 kg of rice, 500 grams of dal, 500 grams of swabian, one liter bottle of drinking water, one saree or dhoti, and one set of garments for children. In total, 250 sarees/dhotis and 550 sets of children’s garments were distributed.
