Special Lecture on Indian Air Force: Hatamuniguda, September 2024

On September 11, 2024, the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda commemorated the 131st anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago with a special career counseling session. The event, held in the Vivekananda Hall, focused on career opportunities in the Indian Air Force.

Wing Commander Rajalakshmi Prithviraj, Commanding Officer of 9ASC Air Force, Bhubaneswar, was the chief guest. She provided valuable insights into the various roles, training programs, and the life of an Air Force officer, emphasizing the importance of discipline, commitment, and passion. A lively question-and-answer session followed her inspiring address.

Prior to the main event, the program began with a patriotic song performed by the students. A student of Class XII, Sriman Minaka Dinesh, then recited Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Address. Swami Gitatmananda welcomed the dignitaries and introduced the topic, while Swami Prabhuvarananda proposed the vote of thanks.

Approximately 700 students, along with the teaching staff and guests, attended the event. Refreshments were served to all participants after the conclusion of the program.
