Devotees’ Convention: Chandipur, October 2024


Ramakrishna Math, Chandipur, Dt. Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, organized a two-day residential devotees’ convention on October 5th and 6th, 2024, to commemorate the upcoming Durga Puja festival. Seventy-two devotees participated in the event, immersing themselves in the ashrama’s serene environment and experiencing the harmonious blend of four yogas under the guidance of the monks.

Renowned spiritual leaders, Swami Purnanandaji Maharaj and Swami Ekavratanandaji Maharaj (Secretary, Belgharia Students Home), graced the occasion as chief orators. Their insightful talks covered a wide range of topics, including:

  • Sri Ramakrishna: The epitome of harmonization
  • Holy Mother: The protector of devotees
  • Swami Vivekananda and Nivedita: A wonderful orator and an efficient recipient
  • The tradition of Sri Sri Durga Puja in the Ramakrishna Math and Mission
  • The unique features of the Ramakrishna Order

In addition to the talks, the convention featured bhajans, meditation sessions, and karmayoga activities such as cleaning the ashrama. These activities provided devotees with a tangible experience of the harmonious integration of the four yogas in daily life.

The convention was a resounding success, offering participants a spiritually enriching and memorable experience.
