On Saturday, November 30th, 2024, a ceremony took place at the Vivekananda Hall of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda, to recognize academic excellence and social responsibility. The highlight of the event was the distribution of the IDBI Bank Golden Jubilee Scholarship – 2024-25 to 15 deserving students.
Shri Nihar Ranjan Sahoo, Branch Manager of IDBI Bank, Rayagada, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. During his address, he underscored the bank’s commitment to fostering education through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Kuna Kandagari, a scholarship recipient, shared a heartfelt speech about the significant impact of the scholarship on his academic journey.
In addition to the IDBI Bank scholarships, 15 more students were honored with the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture Scholarship.
The ceremony also celebrated the achievements of 21 students who secured Gold Medals in the All India Swachh Bharat Art Competition, organized by the National Education & Human Resource Development Organization, Mumbai.
Presiding over the function, Swami Sandarshanananda ji, a senior monk from Ramakrishna Mission, Narendrapur, inspired the students to strive for excellence while adhering to strong moral values, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Swami Gitatmananda, Secretary of the Ashrama, extended a warm welcome to the guests and introduced them to the audience.
The event concluded with a light refreshment for all attendees.
