Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama, Raipur, organized a half-day spiritual retreat on Sunday, 15th December 2024.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by Vedic chanting, the recitation of 108 Thakur’s names by the attendees, meditation, Geeta chanting, discourses, bhajans, and more.
The Secretary gave the welcome address, narrating the importance of the retreat for the devotees who have taken diksha from Ramakrishna Mission.
Swami Prapattyananda, Editor of Vivek Jyoti Patrika, Ramakrishna Mission Raipur, recited the shlokas from the twelve chapters of the Bhagavad-Geeta along with the devotees, explaining the meaning of each shloka. Afterward, everyone meditated for ten minutes.
Swami Devabhavananda spoke on “Karmyog ka Adarsha,” elaborating on the necessity of non-attachment in karma.
Swami Sevavratananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Bilaspur, discussed “Dainik Jivan me Dharm ka Prayojan.” He narrated important incidents from daily life and explained how we can apply Dharma in all our work.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Swami Vrajanathananda.
A total of 116 devotees attended the function. At the end, cooked food (Prasad) was distributed to all.
