Ramakrishna Math
The following achievements of our students, staff and institutions of the Ramakrishna Math in the year under review are worth mentioning:
- Kalady centre:
a. A student won the gold medal and two others bronze medals at the judo championship conducted by the Department of General Education, Government of Kerala.
b. Students of the school achieved ‘A’ grade in sanskrit prabhashanam, ‘A’ grade in kathakali sangeetham, ‘A’ grade in science talent search examination and ‘A’ grade in work experience in state level competitions.
c. Students of the school won 1 gold and 2 bronze medals in state level senior boys judo competition. - Mysuru centre: The NCC Chief Officer of Vidyashala was awarded the prestigious DG NCC Commendation Card by the Directorate General NCC, Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
Ramakrishna Mission
The following achievements of our students, staff, and institutions of the Ramakrishna Mission in the year under review are worth mentioning:
- The Ramakrishna Mission received:
a. Governor’s Award for Excellence from the Governor of West Bengal in recognition of the Mission’s contribution to the field of social service,
b. Arunachal Pradesh state Award in recognition of the meritorious services rendered by the Mission in Arunachal Pradesh, and
c. Nakshatra samman award by TV9 Bangla, a Bengali news Channal, in recognition of its contribution towards the greater good of society. - The Education Department of the Government of West Bengal presented the Sera Vidyalaya Sammanana award to our six schools at Asansol, Kamarpukur, Malda, Medinipur, Narendrapur and Sarisha.
- Aalo centre:
a. A class-8 student secured Best NCC Cadet state award.
b. A class-2 student bagged silver medal in the state level Taekwondo Championship. - Chennai Mission Ashrama: Students of the Matriculation Higher Secondary school secured 21 gold medals, 12 silver medals and 11 bronze medals in the zonal level athletics meet conducted by the Education Department, Government of Tami Nadu, in Chennai. The school won the Overall Championship Trophy.
- Chennai Students’ Home: Two students of the polytechnic college secured 1st place in the state-level inter-polytechnic technical symposium held in Coimbatore.
- A team of six students of Chennai Vidyapith won the first prize in the music competition conducted by All India Radio, Chennai.
- Coimbatore Mission Vidyalaya:
a. A faculty member of College of Arts & Science received Academic Excellence Award from International Institute of Organizing Research.
b. A faculty member of Faculty of Agriculture, Rural and Tribal Development (RKMVERI) received Research Excellence Award from Institute of Scholars (InSc), Bangalore. - A yoga practitioner at the yoga centre of Dibrugarh ashrama secured third prize at the National Masters Games conducted by Masters Games Federation in Goa.
- Hatamuniguda centre:
a. Students of the school secured 23 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 10 bronze medals in different academic Olympiads conducted by Silverzone Foundation, New Delhi.
b. Six students of the school secured gold medals in an art competition conducted by National Education and Human Resource Development Organization, Mumbai. - Imphal centre:
a. Two students of the school secured the first and second prizes at the state level Veer Gatha contest conducted by Gallantry Awards Portal of India under the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education, Government of India.
b. A class-10 student won the gold medal in the national level kung-fu tournament conducted by Mansuria Kung-fu International. - Students of our Jhargram school secured 25 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal and won the championship title in the Inter-EMRS (Eklavya Model Residential School) state level sports meet held in Jhargram.
- A student of our Kadapa school secured first rank in the International Mathematics Olympiad conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation, New Delhi.
- A student of our Kozhikode school won a gold medal in wushu (Chinese martial art) sport at the Khelo India Women’s Wushu League (South Zone) held in Coimbatore.
- Malda high school was awarded Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (District Level Award) by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- Six class-8 students of our Malliankaranai school received 1st prize in villupattu (musical discourse) and storytelling at district level competitions conducted by Government of Tamil Nadu.
- Narainpur Ashrama football team received Chhattisgarh Champion title in the Men’s Football League conducted by Chhattisgarh Football Academy.
- Narendrapur centre:
a. The Vidyalaya received Best School Award from Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search, Kolkata.
b. Five students of class-9 of the Vidyalaya secured top ranks in the Vidyasagar Science Olympiad conducted by Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search, Kolkata.
c. The Blind Boys’ Academy was presented with the Governor’s Award of Excellence in recognition of its service to the upliftment of visually impaired people.
d. The Blind Boys’ Academy bagged the State Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Also, a staff of the Braille press serving as a proofreader received an award in the category of Outstanding Employee with Disabilities from Women & Child Development and Social Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.
e. Eleven students from Blind Boys’ Academy secured 15 gold and 11 silver medals in the National Paralympic Swimming Championship held in Gwalior.
f. A student of the Blind Boys’ Academy achieved the top position in the All-India Trade Test.
g. A lecturer of the college received Shiksha-ratna Sammanana award from Govt of West Bengal.
h. A college student secured 1st position in Gamified Sanskrit Olympiad, conducted by the Central Sanskrit University (Chhattisgarh Region). - Narottam Nagar centre:
a. A teacher of the school received the National Teachers’ Award from the President of India.
b. A teacher of the school received the State Teachers’ Award from the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. - A teacher of Purulia Vidyapith received Shiksha-ratna Sammanana award from Govt of West Bengal.
- Rahara Boys’ Home:
a. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded A++ grade to the Vivekananda Centenary College.
b. A faculty member of Vivekananda Centenary College received Special Research Award from the Zoological Society, Kolkata.
c. A faculty member of Vivekananda Centenary College received King’s Award for Excellence (Honorary Doctorate) from London Institute of Skills Development, Oxford University.
d. A student of Vivekananda Centenary College received Best Student Award from Microbiologists Society, India. - Ranchi Morabadi centre:
a. Two assistant professors received Young Academician Award and Outstanding Researcher Award from Gujarat Natural Farming and Science University, Anand.
b. An assistant professor was honoured with Best Researcher Award by International Research Excellence, and Young Scientist Award by Institute of Researchers, Wayanad, Kerala. - RKMVERI, Belur, university:
a. Students of the Sanskrit department secured 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals in Akhila-Bhāratīya-Śāstrīya-Spardhā held by Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
b. Students of the Sanskrit department secured 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals in All India Sanskrit Students Talent Festival conducted by National Sanskrit University, Tirupati.
c. A student of the Department of Sports Science and Yoga secured gold medal in State Level Boxing Championship.
d. A faculty member of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in Arapanch (near Narendrapur), secured first position in both oral and poster presentations in the zonal workshop on natural farming conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in Birbhum district. - Saradapitha, Belur:
a. Two students of Shilpavidyalaya (ITI) secured 1st position in the State Skill Competition.
b. A student of Vidyamandira degree college received Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellowship from Science and Engineering Research Board under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. - A student of the girls’ secondary school run by Sarisha centre won a silver medal in snap shooting in All India Thal Sainik Camp conducted by NCC and she was also adjudged the best cadet of the 2 Bengal Girls Battalion.
- Viveknagar centre, Agartala:
a. The school was commended as an exemplary CBSE school by the chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education.
b. In a repeat of last year’s performance, a class-10 student obtained 99.2% in the CBSE Secondary Examination and secured 1st position in the North-East Region of India.
c. Students of the school secured 6th position in a national level boot camp conducted by Niti Aayog, Government of India.
d. A student of the school secured a place among the top 100 students in the national level Veergatha contest conducted by Gallantry Awards Portal of India under the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education, Government of India.
e. Two students of class-8 obtained ‘National Scholarship in Recitation’ from Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.
f. Students of the Vidyalaya won 1 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals in the International English Olympiad; 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals in the International Mathematics Olympiad; 2 silver and 7 bronze medals in the International Science Olympiad; 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze in the International Reasoning & Aptitude Olympiad, 2 gold and 1 silver medals in the International GK & Current Affairs Olympiad, and 1 bronze medal in the International Spell Talent Olympiad conducted by the International Olympiad Foundation.
g. The ITI received Vocational Excellence Award from Rotary Club of Agartala.
