Three-day Residential Youth Camp: Jalpaiguri, December 2024

A three-day residential youth camp was successfully conducted at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, from December 28th to 30th, 2024. Twenty-eight youths from two Bhava Prachar Parishad Ashramas in Uttaranchal participated in the enriching program.

The camp featured a diverse range of topics, including:

  • “Be Human and Help to Become Human (BE & MAKE)”: Emphasizing the importance of compassion and service to humanity.
  • Relevance of Yuva-Vibhag and Yuva-Parishad in Ramakrishna Mahasangha: Exploring the roles and responsibilities of youth within the organization.
  • Problems and Solutions of Modern Youth: Addressing contemporary challenges faced by young people and discussing potential solutions.
  • Swamiji’s Purpose in Founding Ramakrishna Mahasangha: Understanding the vision and objectives behind the establishment of the organization.
  • Right Use of Modern Gadgets and Spreading Swamiji’s Ideology through Gadgets: Exploring the ethical and effective use of technology for personal and societal growth.
  • Clarity, Discipline, and Punctuality in Life: Cultivating essential life skills and values.
  • Life and Teachings of the Holy Trinity: Studying the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, and Swami Vivekananda.
  • Personality Development: Enhancing personal growth and self-awareness.
  • Time Sense, Discipline, and Building One’s Future: Developing essential life skills for personal and professional success.

The camp followed a structured routine, incorporating:

  • Mangalarati (morning prayers), Vedic Chanting, Guided Meditation
  • Value-oriented Classes, Yoga and Exercises, Interactive sessions
  • Songs, Recitations, Flute Recital
  • Discourses by revered monks — Swami Devarajanandaji Maharaj, Swami Nareshanandaji Maharaj, Swami Gouranganandaji Maharaj, Swami Shivapremanandaji Maharaj, Swami Vishwadharanandaji Maharaj, Swami Mahatapanandaji Maharaj, Swami Jitamohananda, Swami Pravarananda, and Swami Kalyanakarananda
  • Service activities

The camp provided a valuable platform for the participants to learn, grow, and connect with fellow youth.
