Yoga Trainers’ Workshop: Kalady, January 2025

Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady, Kerala


A two-day Yoga Teachers’ Training Workshop was organized by Patanjali College of Yoga (Reg. No. 78/IV/2016) in collaboration with Sri Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady, on 4th and 5th January 2025 at the Ashrama Auditorium.

The workshop included speeches and practical sessions on meditation techniques like Jyothir Dhyanam, Heartfulness Meditation, and Eyesight improvement techniques. Swami Srividyananda inaugurated the program, emphasizing the relevance of Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Raja Yoga as interpreted by Swami Vivekananda, catering to various temperaments.

Swami Nandatmananda, Editor of Prabudha Keralam, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Thrissur, elaborated on the significance of meditation for peace, happiness, and work efficiency. Swami Brahmaparananda of Kalady Ashrama discussed the Yogatattva Upanishad, highlighting its teachings on the eight limbs of yoga and their connection to ultimate reality.

Dr. V. Vasanthakumari, Vivekananda Chairperson at Sanskrit University, Kalady, also addressed the participants. Additionally, Swami Bhuvanatmananda, Adhyaksha of Sri Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Vyttila, spoke on the importance of spiritual life and the role of a guru.
