National Youth Day 2025: Jammu

Ramakrishna Mission Jammu celebrated National Youth Day with great enthusiasm and fervor on January 12, 2025, at the Vivekananda Auditorium on the Ashram premises. This annual observance commemorates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose unwavering belief in the potential of Indian youth continues to inspire generations.

The program included a series of tributes to Swami Vivekananda through speeches, engaging drama, and musical performances by students from various colleges, including Govt. Women College, Parade, Govt. Women College, Gandhinagar, Govt. MAM PG College, Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College, SPMR Commerce College, Govt. Degree College, Paloura, Mishriwala, and the Institute of Music and Fine Arts.

Approximately 300 NCC and NSS students and coordinators from these seven colleges actively participated in the event. All participants received certificates, books, and a sumptuous lunch.

The occasion was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Swami Yajnadharananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Dr. K.S. Chandrasekar, Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, and Squadron Leader Anil Sehgal, along with Smt. Seema Sehgal.

Dr. K.S. Chandrasekar, the chief guest, encouraged the youth to serve the nation, following in the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda. He emphasized that Swami Vivekananda’s legacy extends far beyond his teachings.

Guest of honor Squadron Leader Anil Sehgal inspired the youth to take pride in their rich cultural heritage and to emulate Swami Vivekananda as their role model.

Swami Yajnadharananda offered a benediction and expressed gratitude to all participants.
