Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh, celebrated National Youth Day on January 12, 2025, with a vibrant program held at the Vivekananda Hall. The event, organized by the Ashrama’s Youth Forum, was graced by the presence of Sri Prasanta Phukan, Cabinet Minister of Power, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Medical Education and Research, Government of Assam, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Saikat Patra, Mayor of Dibrugarh, as the Guest of Honor.
The program included the awarding of Vivekananda Scholarships 2024-25 to 36 deserving students of classes 9 and 10. Each recipient received a one-time scholarship of ₹7,500/- (for Class 9) and ₹8,000/- (for Class 10).
Furthermore, prizes were awarded to 53 students from 18 schools who excelled in the Vivekananda Prajna Pariksha, an examination held on August 18, 2024. These students were recognized as both overall toppers and school toppers. All participants of the Vivekananda Prajna Pariksha were presented with Certificates of Participation.
To acknowledge the valuable contribution of participating schools in promoting the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, each school received a Certificate of Appreciation for their active involvement in the Value Education Program.
The event also featured a captivating cultural program presented by members of the Ashrama’s Youth Forum and students from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh.
A total of 254 students from 18 schools, along with one or two teachers from each school and most of the school principals/head-teachers, attended the program. Refreshments were served to all attendees at the conclusion of the event.
