The 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, also known as National Youth Day, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Medinipur, on January 12, 2025.
The celebrations commenced at 7:30 AM with a vibrant “Provat Feri” (morning procession) that energized the atmosphere. Following the procession, refreshments (tiffin) were served to all students and devotees.
From 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, a “Yuva Sammelan” (Youth Convention) was held, bringing together approximately 900 students from 18 schools and colleges in Medinipur city. The program featured a series of inspiring lectures, melodious bhajans, and thought-provoking poems, all dedicated to the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
A sumptuous noon prasad was offered to all students and guardians who attended the event.
