National Youth Day 2025: Jhargram

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jhargram

National Youth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jhargram, on January 12th, 2025.

The celebrations commenced with a vibrant procession that snaked through the streets of Jhargram town. More than 500 students, along with teachers, devotees, and well-wishers, participated in the procession. Revered Swami Bodhasaranandaji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, inaugurated the procession and led the march for the first kilometer. The procession culminated with the offering of flowers at the feet of the Swami Vivekananda statue at the entrance to the town.

Following the procession, a Youth Convention was held at the school ground. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 1800 students and teachers representing 32 schools, 6 colleges, and 6 Vivekananda Study Circles run by the Mission in the Jhargram district.

Revered Swami Bodhasaranandaji Maharaj, Sri Sunil Agarwala, District Magistrate, Jhargram, and Sri Bisweswar Chakraborty, OIC, Govt. General Degree College, Lalgarh, addressed the gathering, inspiring the youth with their insightful words.

All participants were served a delicious tiffin and lunch packets.
