R. D. Devaraj Memorial lecture was held at Ramakrishna Mission, Jaipur on 11th November, 2017 and Spiritual Retreat on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita on 12th November 2017.
On 11 November, the programme was commenced with Vedic Chanting by Swami Ekanishthananda and others followed by lighting the lamp by guest speakers. After welcome ceremony and introduction of guest speakers, memorial lectures begin. Swami Ramarupananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Ashrama, Shimla and Sri Ajit Kumar Rai, founder director of Vivekananda Institute of Personality Development and Vivekananda Army, Jaipur spoke about effect of Swami Vivekananda in our life. Swami Sarvasthananda, (former Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rajkot) delivered his lecture. The audience were very much inspired and impressed by the energetic and powerful thoughts of Swami Vivekananda, expressed by the learned speakers.
A Short play “Madhav-Uddhav Prasang” was played by the children of Vivekananda Bal Sanskar Sangha. Irony of present world were the theme of play and theme as well as skills of children were appreciated by all the viewers.
Dr. R.K. Madhok (President, Ramakrishna Mission, Jaipur) delivered his vote of thanks to guest speakers, audience and volunteers, and the programme ended with tea and refreshments to every participants.
