National Youth Day 2025: Mysuru

Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, celebrated National Youth Day on 13th January 2025 with enthusiasm and fervor. A total of 1150 students from 9 schools, including Ramakrishna Vidyashala, participated in the celebrations.

The afternoon commenced with a gathering at the Swami Vivekananda statue in Cheluvamba Park. Swami Muktidanandaji, Adhyaksha of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, performed aarti to the statue in the presence of all attendees. Subsequently, a vibrant procession commenced, with students carrying banners and placards displaying messages like “Rise, Awake, and Stop Not Till the Goal is Reached” and “Youth Power for Nation Building.” A chariot carrying a large portrait of Swami Vivekananda followed the procession.

The procession culminated at the Ramakrishna Vidyashala campus, where the students were served refreshments. A one-hour program ensued in the open-air theater, featuring Swami Tyaganandaji, Swami Muktidanandaji, and Swami Yukteshanandaji on the stage. Swami Tyaganandaji delivered an inspiring address to the students.

The program included captivating performances by selected students from various schools. These performances included songs on Swamiji, recitations from his lectures, and insightful speeches on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings, delivered in both Kannada and English. The talented students were awarded books and mementos for their impressive presentations.

The National Youth Day celebration at Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, proved to be a resounding success, inspiring the youth to embrace Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and strive for personal and societal transformation.
