Ramakrishna Math, Kanchipuram, celebrated National Youth Day from 10th to 12th January 2025 with a series of programs designed to inspire and educate the youth.
Key Activities:
- Three-Day Celebration: The celebrations spanned three days, with two days of events held at the Ashrama and one day at a Higher Secondary Matriculation School in Kanchipuram Town.
- Competitions: A series of competitions, including oratorical, drawing, and essay writing contests on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings, were conducted. Prizes along with books on Swamiji were awarded to the winners.
- Cultural Programs: The celebrations included engaging cultural programs, featuring bhajans on Swamiji performed by students.
- Special Talks: Monks from the Ashrama delivered insightful talks on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings.
- Pushpanjali: On 10th and 12th January, students offered Pushpanjali to Swami Vivekananda.
- Prasad: Full lunch prasad was served to all participants on 10th and 12th January during the on-campus programs.
Participation: Hundreds of students actively participated in the various events throughout the three-day celebration.
Impact: The National Youth Day celebrations at Ramakrishna Math, Kanchipuram, were a resounding success. The diverse range of activities provided a platform for students to engage with Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, develop their skills, and foster a deeper understanding of his message.
