On 12th January 2025, Advaita Ashrama, Kolkata, celebrated National Youth Day with a series of programs commemorating the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
Eighteen young members of the Vivekananda Study Circle at the Ashrama were actively involved in the celebrations. They presented insightful talks on Swami Vivekananda and his vision for India, and also enthralled the audience with patriotic songs.
Swami Shuddhidananda, a senior monk of the Ashrama, delivered a profound talk on the enduring relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in contemporary India and emphasized the crucial role of youth in nation-building.
Around 180 devotees participated in the program. Refreshments were served to all attendees.
The National Youth Day celebration at Advaita Ashrama served as a platform to inspire and motivate the youth, encouraging them to embrace Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of service, self-reliance, and spiritual growth.
