To commemorate the 150th Birthday of Sister Nivedita Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip, organized a programme on 28th October 2017 in the following manner.
The teachers, students and non-teaching staffs of the two Primary Schools and High School were assembled in the High school premises at about 11.00 am. Programmes started with the
garlanding of a photo of Sister Nivedita. One student read out from the “Life and Teaching of Sister Nivedita”. A short speech was delivered by the secretary.
Besides this, in response to the request of the Manasadwip ashrama, most of the educational institutions (15 Primary Schools, 10 High Schools, 7 Higher Secondary Schools and College) of Sagar Island also observed the day in a befitting manner. In some of those programmes representatives of the Ashrama were present.
