Ramakrishna Math, Gourhati, observed its three-day-long annual celebration on January 18, 19, and 21, 2025, with various spiritual and cultural events.
The celebration commenced on January 18, 2025, with a Youth Convention, attended by approximately 602 students and 37 teachers from 19 different schools. The convention aimed to inspire young minds with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
On January 19, 2025, a Devotee Convention was organized, drawing 375 devotees and 110 admirers who gathered for spiritual discourse and devotional activities.
On January 21, 2025, the Math solemnly observed Swami Vivekananda’s Tithi Puja. Around 7,600 devotees from Gourhati and nearby villages participated in the celebrations and received afternoon prasad.
The festivities also featured a range of cultural performances:
- January 18, 2025 – A Kirtan performance in the evening.
- January 19, 2025 – Baul songs presented on stage.
- January 21, 2025 – Devotional songs and Nritya-Tattva by the students of Gadadhar Abhuyudaya Prakalpa of the Math.
- January 22, 2025 – A Jatrapala presentation, “Nilachale Mahaprabhu”, performed by Sri Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Nimpith.
The celebration was a spiritually uplifting and culturally enriching experience for all participants.
