Ramakrishna Math, Madurai – Training Program for Teachers (Shishu Vatika)
Shishu Vatika Level-1, a teacher training program, was organized in collaboration with Vidyabharati on 15th February 2025 at the school campus. A total of 85 teachers from 6 institutions participated in the event, which was held from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
The training focused on the ‘play-way method of learning’, emphasizing experiential education to help students connect with their surroundings, culture, and history. The sessions highlighted the importance of initially prioritizing awareness about family, food habits, and traditional practices over purely academic learning for young students.
Additionally, a Zero Crime Awareness Program was conducted by the Cyber Branch of the Madurai Police, educating teachers on cyber safety and crime prevention.
The program was presided over by Swami Prabhupremananda of the Centre, who shared his insights on holistic education and value-based learning.
