A Youth Convention centered on the theme ‘Yuga Samasya o Yuva Samaj – Ek Alok Vartika’ (Contemporary Issues and Youth Society – A Guiding Light) was organized by the Madhya Banga Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhava Prachar Yuva Parishad on the afternoon of March 31, 2025, at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 130 students, predominantly from higher secondary schools, colleges, and universities, along with numerous school teachers. Swami Vedanuraganandaji Maharaj, Vice Principal of Vivekananda Centenary College, Ramakrishna Mission Boys Home, Rahara, graced the occasion as the esteemed Chief Guest.

The convention commenced at 3:15 PM with the serene vibrations of Vedic chanting. Br. Rajib delivered a welcoming address, highlighting the significance and objectives of organizing this timely event. The participating youths then showcased their talents through inspiring patriotic songs, recitations, and insightful speeches, reflecting their engagement with the theme.

During his special lecture, Swami Vedanuragananda Maharaj addressed various pressing contemporary issues and challenges confronting the youth. He extensively discussed health and mental well-being, emphasizing that cultivating positive habits, relinquishing distractions, and adopting a nutritious diet while avoiding junk food are key solutions. Furthermore, he touched upon other related problems, suggesting that adherence to the teachings and preachings of Swami Vivekananda offers effective pathways for resolution. Following the lecture, the Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani conducted an engaging question-and-answer session, allowing for further interaction and clarification.

The convention concluded at 5:15 PM with a concluding song and the recitation of peace chants, leaving a positive and reflective atmosphere. All attendees were provided with refreshments.
