The Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home, Chennai, observed the 129th Foundation Day of the Ramakrishna Mission on 1st May 2025 with great devotion and enthusiasm. As part of the celebrations, High School students staged a compelling drama depicting the formation of the Ramakrishna Mission, which was well received by all.
Following the drama, a special meeting was held at the Vivekananda Auditorium. Swami Tatprabhanandaji delivered the keynote address. Swami Dharmatmanandaji, a senior monk of the Order, and Swami Jnanaswarupanandaji spoke on the ideals and guiding principles of the Ramakrishna Mission. The programme concluded with a benedictory address by Swami Dharmishthanandaji, Secretary of the Students’ Home.
All students, teachers, devotees, and well-wishers participated in the programme. In the morning, Revered Swami Dharmatmanandaji Maharaj inaugurated a month-long free buttermilk distribution seva for the general public, from May 1st to May 30th. About 1,000 glasses of buttermilk are served each day as part of this initiative.
