To commemorate the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic visit to Bangladesh (then East Bengal) in 1901, Ramakrishna Ashrama and Ramakrishna Mission, Dinajpur organized a two-day celebration on 7–8 May 2025.
The event began with special puja, Gita chanting, stotra path, and devotional songs offered by monks and devotees. A Bhakta Sammelan followed, attended by 250 devotees, focusing on Swamiji’s vision of Vedanta-inspired service and spiritual awareness.
A Youth Conference was also held, drawing 195 students from around Dinajpur. It aimed to inspire the youth through Swamiji’s ideals of self-discipline, nation-building, and universal spirituality.
A Monastic Retreat brought together 20 monks and brahmacharins from various centres in Bangladesh for spiritual reflection.
The presence of Revered Swami Purnatmananda ji Maharaj (Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Dhaka) added great spiritual significance to the occasion.
This meaningful celebration paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s message of harmony, service, and spiritual awakening—reaffirming the Mission’s growing impact in Bangladesh.
