Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani, conducts the ‘Dwipakshik Matri Puja’ on the third Sunday of every month, offering essential items to around 140 economically disadvantaged elderly mothers.
On 15 June 2025, the programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. with Vedic chanting. Mothers previously registered for the programme were warmly welcomed with sandal paste tilak and garlands.
Puja offerings were distributed to about 160 mothers, which included:
Rice, dal, potatoes, soya nuggets, puffed rice, suji, mustard oil, and a packet of biscuits.
The programme concluded at 11:00 a.m. with peace chanting, marking another heartfelt act of service and reverence for motherhood.
