In connection with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady, organized impactful programs under the Vimukthi 2025–26 campaign at its units — Brahmanandodayam Higher Secondary School and Brahmanandodayam Sanskrit Upper Primary School.
At Brahmanandodayam Higher Secondary School and Udaya Junction, Kalady, an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme commenced at 11:15 AM, featuring:
- A Zumba dance session encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle
- A skit by students depicting the harmful effects of drug abuse
- A collective pledge taken by students and public participants to commit to a drug-free life
Simultaneously, the inauguration of Vidyaarangam Kalasahitya Vedi 2025–26 and Anti-Narcotics Day observance were held at Brahmanandodayam Sanskrit Upper Primary School. The programme was inaugurated by Sri Shivakumar, Sub-Inspector of Kothamangalam Police Station, who also conducted an informative awareness session on the dangers of substance abuse.
As part of the Kalasahitya Vedi activities, students engaged in poetry recitations and took part in Zumba dance training, encouraging artistic expression and healthy living.
These programmes, blending awareness and creativity, were well-received and served to reinforce the Ashrama’s and its institutions’ strong commitment to a drug-free and value-based society.
