Ramakrishna Math, Madurai organized the following service activities in June 2025:
1. Free Cataract Surgery Camp
On 15th June 2025, a free screening camp for cataract surgeries was conducted at the Ashrama in collaboration with Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai.
Camp Details:
- Outpatients examined: 178 (Men – 77, Women – 101)
- Patients selected for surgery: 75
- Patients operated: 65
- Spectacles provided: 34
- Date of Surgery: 16 June 2025
- Place of Surgery: Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai
2. Distribution of Ration Kits
All 65 patients who underwent cataract surgery were provided with free ration kits. Each kit contained:
- 1 Kg Dal
- 1 Kg Sugar
- ½ Kg Tamarind
- 1 Kg Edible Oil
- 200 gms Chilli Powder
- ½ Kg Sambar Powder
- 1 Kg Sooji
- 1 Bathing Soap
