1. Free Cataract Surgery Camp
On 17 August 2025, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, in collaboration with Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, organized a Free Cataract Screening Camp at the Math premises. The camp created an opportunity for the needy to access quality eye care.
Details of the Camp:
- Out-patients examined: 145 (Male – 72, Female – 72, Child – 1)
- Patients selected for surgery: 48
- Patients operated upon: 39
- Spectacles distributed: 40
- Date of Surgery: 20 August 2025
2. Distribution of Ration Kits
On 21 August 2025, the 39 patients who underwent cataract surgery were each provided with a ration kit by the Math.
Contents of Each Kit:
- 1 kg Dal
- 1 kg Sugar
- ½ kg Tamarind
- 1 kg Edible Oil
- 200 g Chilli Powder
- ½ kg Sambar Powder
- 1 kg Sooji
- 1 Bathing Soap
