National Youth Day 2019 : Rajamahendravaram


Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary and 35th National Youth day was celebrated by Ramakrishna Mission, Rajamahendravaram with great fervour on 12 January 2019.

The celebration began  with a procession from the Math to the statue of Swami Vivekananda at Vivekananda Circle Kambal Cheruvu. Swami Vinishchalananda led the procession in which about 150 students, senior educationists of the town and devotees participated.

Swami Vivekananda statue was garlanded by Swami Vinishchalananda, devotees and guests a few of whom are Sri K. Satya Prasad Roy, Principal, Govt. Jr. College, Khammam, Sri V.S.S. Krishna Kumar, Editor, Surya Daily Evening Edition, Sri T.K. Visweswara Reddy, Correspondent, Rajamahendri Educational Institutions, Sri J. Uday Bhaskar, Correspondent, Suryadeep Educational Institutions, Dr. A. Vasundhara, Principal, SKR College for Women, Staff Members, Rajamahendri College for Women, SKR College for Women, Aditya College, Rajahmhendravaram, Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence Staff and Students.

The Children of Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa & Bhavi Bharatam ( A Nutrition programme for children of slum areas.) recited prayers and sang songs in praise of Swamiji.

Youth Convention

The Ashrama under the banner of Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence conducted a Youth convention on the theme Character is established through a thousand obstacles.

Swami Vinishchalananda, the Cheif guest Sri K. Satya Prasad Roy addressed the youth on this occasion.

The Student delegates presented papers and posters on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Poster presentation, Power point presentation, Verbal ability and Quiz competitions were conducted and prizes were distributed to the prize winners by the Guest Speaker Ms. M.V. Padmavathi.

An Exhibition of the posters and Art & Craft work of the students was displayed.

About 200 delegates from different colleges participated in the event.
